The Workforce Development Authority (WDA) Examination unit has embarked on an exercise of registering private candidates in professional and technical courses for the 2012 national examinations.
Registration in Kigali will end on May 18, however with consideration on some cases of candidates who will have missed, backed with sound reasons it could be extended.
Outside Kigali city the exercise started on May 2 and ended 12th May 2012 in 13 district registration centers. According to the head of the Examination & Certification unit Rose Mukantabana, 172 private candidates were registered.
Kigali has three registration centers in Gasabo, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge districts.
According to Frederick Rusanganwa one of the WDA staff conducting the exercise, requirements for one to register include fifteen thousand Rwandan francs as registration fee, certificate held, employer’s recommendation for those already employed, results slip for those who sat last year, passport photos, etc.
WDA team engaged in this exercise properly check, monitor and register the candidates and also keep the candidates’ files and clearly sign them before returning them to the head offices.
The Government of Rwanda has embarked on the campaign to uplift the level of technical and vocational training in the country through WDA.
