A total of 125 people are attending a 10 day training in Competency based Economies through the Formation of Enterprise (CEFE) at IPRC-Kigali and other 25 at Kavumu VTC in the southern province.
Beneficiaries of the training are from companies incubated in IPRC Kigali business incubation center, 3 students from each class of 3rd years (day and evening) and 14 members from the IPRC-Kigali student union. The training is being supported by GIZ-Rwanda.
According to Dieudonne Kabanda a CEFE master trainer, this training will equip the beneficiaries with a wide knowledge to set up economic strategies for investment. It is indeed a comprehensive training aimed at strengthening competencies needed for a successful start and career as entrepreneurs in all kinds of businesses.
Innocent Hakizimana Kayumba a 3rd year student in Electrical and Electronics Telecommunication Engineering (IPRC-Kigali) is very optimistic that the skills acquired will enrich his plans for self employment.
“Many fresh graduates look upon government for employment. It is high time people started developing career paths to relieve our government of this burden”, said Hakizimana Kayumba.
CEFE is a comprehensive set of training instruments using an action-oriented approach and experiential learning methods to develop and enhance the business management and personal competencies of a wide range of target groups, mostly in the context of income and employment generation and sustainable economic development.
